When a general manager is out of work or needs help with their duties, they turn to the assistant general manager (commonly called AGM). This valued team member, committed to ensuring operations run smoothly, interacts with a wide range of employees and customers. Deputy CEO shifts may vary based on institutional needs and opening hours, and may go beyond the standard full-time during peak periods or as deadlines approach. While deputy general managers spend a lot of time in their office, some are also often in areas where employees and customers interact.
